Posted on: Monday, 14 September 2009, 12:38 CDT

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Inc. magazine named DyKnow(R), an Indianapolis-based education software company, to their annual Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing private companies in the United States. Ranking is determined by evaluating each company's revenue growth from 2005 through 2008. DyKnow experienced a 606.9 percent growth during the three-year span making it 29th in the software category and 430th overall. DyKnow joins the ranks of companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, GoDaddy, Oracle, and hundreds of other powerhouses who gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.

"If you want to know which companies are going to change the world, look at the Inc. 500," said Inc. editor Jane Berentson. "These are the most dynamic, fast-growth companies in the nation, the ones finding innovative solutions to problems, creating smart systems, and inventing products we soon discover we can't live without. The Inc. 500 list is Inc. magazine's tribute to American business ingenuity and ambition."

DyKnow develops and distributes interactive education and classroom management software in the K12 and higher education market. The products, DyKnow Vision(R) and DyKnow Monitor(R), help educators maximize class time, gather student feedback, foster collaborative learning and promote effective studying.

"We are honored to be named to Inc. magazine's annual list of fastest-growing private companies," said Laura Konkle, DyKnow president. "This recognition is a testament to the thousands of thought leaders in education. Together, through innovation, passion and diligence, we are making a difference in student learning and experiencing exciting growth."

The 2009 Inc. 500, unveiled in the September issue of Inc. magazine and on Inc.com, reported aggregate revenue of $18.4 billion--up significantly from last year's $13.7 billion--and a median three-year growth rate of 880.5 percent. The companies on this year's list are also responsible for creating more than 55,000 jobs since their founding; making the Inc. 500 perhaps the best example of the impact private, fast-growing companies can have on the overall U.S. economy. Complete results of the Inc. 500, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found on Inc.com.
