Rustic 'Green' Golf: Introducing a Classic Lawn Game Called Adirondack Golf, Played on Any Terrain

NEWPORT, R.I., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Adirondack Golf originated in the early 1900's on a private camp in the Adirondack region, and was played exclusively there by 5 generations of families. As of June 2009, Adirondack Golf is available to the public with a product crafted entirely in the USA. The game is played using oversized wooden clubs and a semi-hard oversized ball. In this game the players design and set up their own course on any un-groomed terrain such as backyards, parks, woods, fields, etc.

Using a normal golf swing, a shot played with Adirondack Golf equipment travels from 10 to 55 yards depending on the loft of the club used. Players of all ages and abilities can enjoy the game because the combination of the oversized wooden heads and a softer, oversized ball results in a "forgiving" game, making it easy for any player to advance the ball. Up to 8 players can share one set of Adirondack Golf clubs.
