What

The G-Star took place at the Hammerstein Ballroom, and the show played with silhouettes of models that emerged from five moving cylinders. An intense mix of music allowed the models to walk at a pace that provided guests the opportunity to truly take in the innovative craftsmanship of the NY Raw Collection. A remix of the David Bowie song 'Rebel Rebel' accompanied a choreographed finale in true G-Star style.

The G-Star atelier demonstrated their signature denim craftsmanship with architectural techniques for pants and sophisticated tailoring for jackets and tops thus creating entirely new silhouettes. Washes encompassed the complete life-cycle of denim, from the darkest raw through bright blues and bleached to non-dyed ecru. The combination of denim with breezily light materials in blues, whites and custom prints showed the unmatched adaptability of G-Star's core fabric and gave the collection a cool, high-summer feel.

G-Star hosted an intimate dinner after the show and a happening after party at the Terrace at the Bowery hotel.
