Kristin Chenoweth of Pushing Daisies
took the prize for best supporting actress in a comedy at the 61st annual Prime Time Emmy Awards in Los Angeles Sunday.
In her acceptance speech, Chenoweth took note of the fact that her show has been canceled.
Thank you,
she said through tears as she collected her statuette. I'm unemployed now, so I'd like to be on 'Mad Men.' I also like 'The Office' and '24.' I'm shocked. I can't believe it. ... Thank you so much, Academy, for recognizing a show that is no longer on the air.
Chenoweth -- who won a Tony Award for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown
and a Tony nomination for Wicked
-- also gave shout-outs to her parents, manager and the creative team behind Pushing Daisies.
