Nestle USA Named One of the ‘Best Places to Launch a Career’ by BusinessWeek
GLENDALE, Calif., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ — Nestle USA has been recognized again by BusinessWeek magazine as one of the “Best Places to Launch a Career.” BusinessWeek ranked Nestle USA #25 on their annual list of the best companies for new college graduates to launch their careers — a 20 point increase from the previous year. Justin Welke, an Operations Management Trainee at Nestle’s Springville, UT plant, was featured in the article and cited for his front-line leadership experience and cost-cutting initiatives.
“Nestle USA offers developmental programs to recent undergrads that accelerate leadership opportunities,” said Judy Cascapera, Senior Vice President, Human Resources. “Recent graduates like Justin Welke are given real positions with increasing levels of responsibility as a trainee.”
Nestle USA offers development programs in Operations, Sales, Logistics, Finance, Procurement and Product Applications. The company also offers a Brand Management summer internship program for MBA students. Programs are focused on the long-term, and interns and trainees receive mentors, buddies and managers across all levels in the organization, giving them quick and ready access to gain critical insights into skills, development and obtaining feedback.
Nestle USA is also known for its commitment to promoting from within. Its programs fill the company’s internal talent pipeline with employees who are ready for the challenge of leadership and management roles.
