NBC orders Abrams’ spy drama pilot
October 2, 2009
NBC won the U.S. broadcast network bidding war for a television spy drama J.J. Abrams co-wrote with Josh Reims, industry sources told The Hollywood Reporter.
Abrams’ other small-screen projects include Alias,
Lost
and Fringe.
He previously worked with Reims on TV’s Felicity
and What About Brian.
The entertainment industry trade newspaper said ABC, NBC and CBS had been fighting for the rights to their script for an as-yet-untitled show about husband-and-wife spies.
This marks Abrams’ first collaboration with NBC, which secured the rights and ordered the pilot Wednesday.
