Belgium Open Poker Championships Returns With Estimated EUR1.5 Million Prize Pool

Event Expected to Attract up to 1,000 Players; EUR10,000 Heads-Up Team Event

The sixth annual EUR1,500 + EUR200 buy-in Belgium Poker Championships,
being held at Casino de Namur, Belgium from Nov. 21 to 29, 2009, is aiming to
top last year’s main event field of 843 players by attracting up to 1,000
players and creating an estimated EUR1.5 million prize pool.

Last year the tournament which was won by Dutch player Sijbrand Maal who
took home EUR315,875 for his victory over a field which included former World
Poker Tour champion Surinder Sunar, Belgian World Series of Poker bracelet
winner Davidi Kitai, former BPC winner Marcus Naalden, and players from as
far afield as the U.S., Venezuela, the Ukraine, Canada, and Great Britain.

The main event takes place over nine days from November 21 to 29 2009.
Day 1 is divided into four days (Nov. 21-24), day 2 into two days (Nov.
25-26
), and day 3, 4 and 5 see the field combine (Nov. 27-29). Satellites for
the main event take place daily at Casino de Namur on Nov. 21 (EUR100+10 plus
rebuy and add on), Nov. 22 (EUR200+20 freezeout) and Nov. 23 (EUR300+30
freezeout).

This year the Belgium Open Poker Championships also hosts a unique
heads-up team event over two days (day one split into 1A+1B) with a EUR10,000
+ EUR500 buy-in per team of four.

EUR50 + EUR10 unlimited rebuy satellites for the main event are held
every Tuesday and Saturdays at 20:00 (CET) and Sundays at 15:00 (CET) at the
Namur Casino in Belgium and on Thursday at 20:00 (CET) at its sister Spa
Casino.

The Belgium Open Poker Championships is a nine day festival of poker
which hosts a number of side events each day including (all events are
no-limit hold’em freezeouts unless otherwise stated):

Main Event – No-Limit Hold’em Championship (Nov 21, 22, 23, 24) main
event (plus satellites)

Event 1 – No-Limit Hold’em Heads Up Team Event (Nov 23) EUR10,000+500
Event 2 – No Limit Hold’Em (Nov 26) EUR200+10 freezeout

Event 3 – No-Limit Hold’em (Nov 27/28) EUR1,000+50 freezeout (plus
satellites Nov 25/26)

Event 4 – No-Limit Hold’em (Nov 28/29) EUR500+25

Event 5 – No-Limit Hold’em Bounty (Nov 29) EUR150+10 freezeout

Event 6 – No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event (Nov 29) EUR100+10 freezeout

The main event will streamed live on the Internet and filmed for
broadcast. Sponsors logos are allowed. Hold’em and Omaha cash games will also
be running daily during the festival.

Packages to the main event are available at a cost of EUR2,500 and
include a ticket to the main event, six nights in the hotel Beauregard in the
same building as the casino, six breakfasts (available until 12 noon), and
six dinners in the casino restaurant.
