Hastings Entertainment Supports Local Literacy Campaigns

AMARILLO, Texas, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hastings Entertainment, Inc. (Nasdaq: HAST), a leading multimedia entertainment superstore retailer, today reported collecting a total of approximately $76,000 in donations from customers at our retail superstores. Each retail superstore collected customer donations from September 2008 through August 2009 and remitted the proceeds to their local literacy council.
Hastings maintains an active involvement in the fight against illiteracy. Hastings believes that by fostering local efforts to combat illiteracy through collecting donations from customers and making direct contributions, we can help make a difference in every community that we serve.
