LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ — Cartan Tours, appointed by MATCH Services as a Participating Tour Operator to distribute tickets for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa(TM), announces the sale of travel packages from the United States to South Africa for the 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM) in June and July of next year. On the heels of the U.S. soccer team’s advancement to the tournament this past weekend, packages are expected to go quickly, and travelers are encouraged to make plans early. In fact, according to Travel Weekly, UK based Thomson Sport sold out of most packages after England qualified for the tournament in September.
2010 will mark a historic year as soccer enthusiasts from around the globe will descend on Africa for the first World Cup ever hosted on the continent. The atmosphere is that of pride and excitement as the South Africans prepare their country for a successful World Cup. Stadiums are being upgraded, hotels have adhered to a Western rating system, roads are being repaired and a new train system is being put in place.
Cartan Tours has carefully investigated accommodations, transportation, and locations in South Africa to develop travel packages for varying needs, budgets, and desires. Anticipating the high demand, Cartan Tours has secured space in a variety of hotels using Cape Town and Johannesburg as the selected package cities. Cartan Tours program packages for the 2010 FIFA World Cup(TM) are classified by the quality and location of the hotel and the amenities that are included in the program and are categorized as Standard, Superior, and Deluxe. To ensure best selection for accommodations due to the limited room inventory, Cartan Tours strongly recommends booking packages as soon as possible.
To ensure a worry-free trip from start to finish, Cartan Tours’ on-site concierge service will provide assistance with airport navigation, luggage, transportation, and restaurant reservations. Cartan Tours can also assist in scheduling all sightseeing activities including South African Safaris and Cape Winelands Wine Tours.
Travel packages start at $1,995 per person plus international airfare. Each package will include one World Cup ticket per person to follow Team USA, but tickets to additional matches can be requested if packages are reserved before the draw occurs on December 4. Arrival and departure transportation will be included as part of every package and the mode of transportation to/from the venues for all matches and the additional cost involved can be added after the final draw determines where each team plays.
