Chicago Wine & Cheese Tasting Event Complete with Annual Grape Crushing at Famed Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel

CHICAGO, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Taking their chef-crafted approach to the next level, Executive Chef Myk Banas of the Chicago hotel restaurant, Harvest, is hosting a wine tasting, and making event on October 20, 2009 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. inside the Grand Lobby of the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile Hotel.

This is the second year that Harvest has hosted an event of this kind. Celebrating the release of their Farmstead Red American Sangiovese wine from last year's harvest crush, this 2008 vintage is promised to compliment the night's signature food pairings.

Guests are sure to savor the house-made sausages along with artisan cheeses from the Midwest. After the tasting, guests are encouraged to participate in the crushing of hundreds of grapes for next year's exclusive 2010 vintage.
