LAKE FOREST, Calif., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ — Family-friendly, international restaurant chain, Johnny Rockets, today announced the launch of their enhanced “Rocketeer” Kids Club. Stepped-up efforts include a kid-centric interactive Web site, “Out-of-This-World” birthday parties, educational activity books and even more VIP treatment for kids that are fans of the Johnny Rockets experience.

“Our restaurants represent classic American family values,” states Johnny Rockets CEO, Lee Sanders. “Kids have always loved coming to our restaurants and now, we’re giving them even more reasons to feel an affinity for our brand.”

Historically, Johnny Rockets has provided a kid-safe, upbeat environment where dancing is encouraged and favorite foods are served, including grilled-to-order hamburgers and hand-dipped shakes and malts.

Johnny Rockets Marketing Manager, Janet Gillmore, described the evolution of the new kids program, stating, “Our marketing research indicates that children, ages six through nine, are the most prevalent age group among families that visit our restaurants. We worked closely with our advertising agency, Northten, to make sure that every element of the campaign is centered on what most engages kids in first through fourth grades — yet is appealing to guests of all ages.”

“Build-Your-Own” rocket ship and hamburger games, coloring and activity sheets, fold-n-play games and online trivia about space travel are only a few of the added value elements that will roll out throughout the year. The Company plans to augment the program as new technology and resources become available.

Continued Sanders, “Johnny Rockets restaurants are located where families come together to eat and have fun. Currently, we support 31 successful restaurants in amusement parks, nine on cruise ships, nine in sports stadiums and more than fifty in family entertainment centers around the world. So, making sure we cater to kids is key to our business.”

The chain boasts about 280 franchised restaurants globally, and is actively seeking Franchise Partners in several key markets. For more information about franchising opportunities, or to visit the news “Rocketeers” page, go to www.johnnyrockets.com.
