Glenn Bean, the Man Behind the Scenes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta
ATLANTA, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire/ — Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta offered up a second season filled with cat fights, back stabbing, sparring matches with a party planner and social events that topped the list of Atlanta’s socialites, with fans asking who is behind the making of these spectacular events: Glenn Bean of VIPDistinct.
Everyone remembers the fashion disaster of season one, where co-star Sheree Whitfield’s debut fashion show turned into a viewing of sketches and left the media and fans questioning the legitimacy of the aspiring fashion designer. This season found the Ms. Whitfield with finished garments to show but no catwalk to strut them on until her co-star Dwight Eubanks and his publicist Glenn Bean took charge.
Although it appeared on camera that Whitfield was the spine of the fashion show, it was Bean and Eubanks who supplied the $45,000 budget that included their personal funds and in-kind sponsors, building the show from scratch. Given only thirty hours to pull it all together, Bean, the event designer, and his staff transformed the ballroom at the W Hotel into a glamorous catwalk that was filled beyond capacity with Atlanta’s most distinguished socialites, VIPs and fashionistas. But that was only the beginning for Bean as his firm also designed the Tracy Howard book signing event hosted by Dwight Eubanks and filmed by Bravo for a link to The Real Housewive’s webpage (http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-atlanta/videos/tracy-howards-book-party). In a one-of-a-kind industry event, actors and actresses read from the book, infusing emotion that captured the audience who sipped on select cocktails while nibbling on an eclectic array of bites. This season also found Sheree Whitfield and Dwight Eubanks in search of love with speed dating that was hosted by co-star Nene Leakes. As a protective publicist, Bean supplied his client Eubanks with extensive questions to ask the prospective dates, and Sheree did not miss the opportunity to borrow some of them for her own interviews.
Glenn Bean made his television debut on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta on October 8, 2009 and reappeared on the much watched season finale that aired on Thursday, October 22, 2009.
