Asia’s First Professional Offshore Wind Power Market Event Receives Great Attention

February 8, 2010

SHANGHAI, Feb. 8 /PRNewswire-Asia/ — The Chinese Renewable Energy
Industries Association (CREIA), Global Wind Energy Council and Shanghai
International Exhibition Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Shanghai branch of the
China International Trade Promotion Committee, once again join forces to build
Asia’s first professional platform focused on the offshore wind power market
– the “Offshore wind China 2010″ — which will be held from June 7-9, 2010 in
Shanghai. This event will provide opportunities for enterprises to meet,
communicate and exhibit in respect to the design, installation and operation
of offshore wind power projects, as well as the R&D and support of offshore
wind turbines, with the aim to promote the healthy development of China’s
offshore wind power market and wind power industry chain.

This exhibition has received strong support from the National Energy Board,
Shanghai Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Shanghai Municipal
Economic and Information Committee, and the provincial development and reform
commissions of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Guangdong.

Secretary-General of CREIA, Li Junfeng, said: “While still in its
preliminary stage, we, the organizers, are convinced that this event is a
great forward-looking platform which offers a very good momentum of
development.”

Chairman of the Global Wind Energy Council, Arthouros Zervos, said: “With
the abolishing of the requirement that at least 70 percent of wind turbine
equipment needs to be produced in China, foreign wind power technologies,
which are more advanced, will march into China, so competition will become
more intense. In view of this, this event can create an international
exchange and cooperation platform. “

This exhibition has received strong support and a high degree of
recognition from numerous leading enterprises in the industry. As of the end
of January, leading enterprises that are engaged in offshore wind power both
at home and abroad, such as Vestas, Sinovel Wind, Siemens and Guodian United
Power, have confirmed their appearance at this exhibition. When the time
comes, they will hold press conferences, organize receptions for key customers,
as well as generously and comprehensively show their latest technologies and
products at the exhibition site. Recently, the organizers have learned that
Vestas’s senior leadership will personally lead a delegation to participate in
this event, while Sinovel Wind’s Chairman, Han Junliang, has also given it
high priority and will be organizing many different kinds of events in
conjunction with the exhibition. At the same time, complete machine
manufacturers will also jointly build an offshore wind power industry chain
with their original equipment suppliers. Locations of major wind power
industrial parks in China, such as Tianjin and Jiangsu, will be organizing
groups of small- and medium-sized component enterprises to actively
participate in this event.

Foreign regions having well-developed offshore wind power industries are
also attaching great importance to this event — the governments of both
Norway and Denmark have organized national pavilion; also, experts from nearly
10 countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Japan
and Spain, will address the Conference.

Organizers look forward to meeting you at the “Offshore wind China 2010″.
