NEW CONCORD, Ohio, April 7 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Ohio Governor Ted Strickland is planning to attend an April 17th celebration of John and Annie Glenn and their life together, according to officials of the John and Annie Glenn Museum Foundation. The event is scheduled for Saturday evening, beginning at 6:30, April 17, in their hometown of New Concord, Ohio, and limited tickets are still available.
The event, titled “John and Annie Glenn: The Celebration of a Life Together,” is sponsored by the Glenn Museum Foundation, the agency that operates the John and Annie Glenn Historic Site, located in Senator Glenn’s boyhood home.
William McCoach, chairperson for the event, explained that the event is an opportunity to meet and celebrate the Glenns and their life together, while helping to fund the museum operations. All proceeds will benefit the Glenn Museum Foundation’s permanent endowment. Sponsorships begin at $1,000 and individual tickets at $250, McCoach said.
The Glenn Historic Site features an award-winning living history tour, taking visitors back to either Depression-era 1937 or the World War II homefront of 1944.
