The Minus5 Igloo Opens This Summer at Power Plant Live! in Baltimore
LAS VEGAS, June 11 /PRNewswire/ — Minus5 Ice Lounge, who opened America’s first permanent ice lounge, is showcasing their innovative concept, The Minus5 Igloo, this summer at Power Plant Live! in Baltimore, Maryland. This location marks the second venue for the feature of the portable ice lounge, with the first at Whistler Mountain in Vancouver during the 2009 Winter Olympics.
Created in New Zealand, Minus5 is an ice lounge where you can touch, feel, and explore handcrafted ice sculptures and ice architecture made from 100% pure ice. Named for its constant frosty temperature of minus five degrees (twenty-seven degrees Fahrenheit), thousands have flocked to experience this unique concept in New Zealand and in its location at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, NV.
“The unveiling of The Minus5 Igloo at the 2009 Winter Olympics was an astounding success, and we are happy to share this immersive experience once again, especially with guests in Baltimore,” said Craig Ling, founder and Vice President of Business Development of Minus5 International. “It’s an exciting opportunity to partner with Power Plant Live!, a lively destination where we will keep visitors refreshed all summer long with our signature cocktails and frosty atmosphere.”
Power Plant Live! is Baltimore’s premier dining and entertainment destination located on Market Street, one block from the world famous Inner Harbor and just a short walk from downtown hotels. The Minus5 Igloo is set to open on June 12, from 2pm-closing time daily. For more information on the Minus5 Ice Lounge experience, please visit www.minus5experience.com.
