72andSunny Lures Two Top Creative Talents
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ — 72andSunny expands their creative leadership, hiring Creative Directors Mick DiMaria and Justin Hooper.
DiMaria and Hooper join 72andSunny from MZA where they were Creative Directors for Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s, and Farmer John’s. As the creative stewards of the Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s brand, the duo oversaw all brand communications and helped drive the business to consistently outperform the QSR category. While at MZA, DiMaria notably authored the iconic Carl’s Jr. commercial featuring Paris Hilton devouring a Six-Dollar Burger while washing a Bentley, and Hooper established the iconic treatment of the food for both brands. They also won TBS’s “Funniest Commercial of the Year” award last year for their launch of Hardee’s biscuit holes better known as A. Hole vs. B. Hole.
“I don’t get outwardly excited too often, but I am literally jumping out of my skin. 72andSunny is destroying it and I’m really happy to be part of the team,” said DiMaria.
“Mick is a great talent who understands how to use cultural momentum to drive business. His performance on the CKE brands is really impressive, and we’re really excited to add more muscle to an already strong team here,” said Glenn Cole, Co-Founder, 72andSunny.
“I am extremely excited about joining 72andSunny not only because I admire the caliber of work they’ve produced for their clients but also to be a part of their agency culture. Their approach makes for better work and happier people,” says Hooper.
“As the Digital Agency of Record for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s, we got to know Justin and his work and were just really impressed with his creative talent, his strategic thinking, his craft and his leadership skills. He’s going to be great here,” said John Boiler, Co-Founder, 72andSunny.
72andSunny makes brands matter in culture. The company has offices in Los Angeles and Amsterdam. Their clients include Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s, HP, K-SWISS, Discovery Channel, and 2K Sports.
