Mutual of Omaha Invites Consumers to Pick Top-10 aha Moments for Second Consecutive Year
OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ – Mutual of Omaha, proud sponsor of life’s aha moments (SM), today announced the launch of an online survey inviting people to vote for their favorite aha moments of the year. The top vote getters will become commercials for the company’s 2011 national broadcast advertising campaign, which will debut early next year.
More than 1,000 uplifting stories were recorded during the company’s recently completed four month, 25-city national tour. From those, 75 inspirational aha moments were selected for the first round of voting, which begins October 1 and concludes October 15. Consumers will be able to view and vote for all of the eligible entries at http://ahamoment.com/vote.
“Because our campaign is based on real people telling their real stories, we believe the public should select their favorite aha moments to become our national TV commercials,” said John Hildenbiddle, senior vice president of brand management and public relations. “We want everyone across the country to participate in the aha moment experience by voting for the moments that touch them the most.”
Following the first round of voting, the top 25 vote getters will move into the final round of voting, which begins on October 18th and ends on October 31, 2010. The top-10 moments will become the company’s newest television ads. The website will also allow people to encourage others to vote by sharing their favorite moments via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and other popular social media outlets.
Mutual of Omaha kicked off its sponsorship of life’s aha moments in February 2009 with national advertising, a website devoted to aha moments, and an online community through Facebook, Twitter and other social applications.
