BALTIMORE, Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ — The 2nd Annual Inner Harbor Art Festival returns to downtown Baltimore this fall, October 9 – 10, 2010, to once again celebrate this vibrant and dynamic community. The two day juried fine art fair will feature an eclectic mix of the country’s top established artists as well as Baltimore’s finest talent, transforming Baltimore into a first class outdoor art gallery with a wide variety of unique art on display and for sale.

The artists will line the popular waterfront at Inner Harbor at two locations with their gallery style display booths and will be present for the duration of the art show. The art fair will encompass the Power Plant along the Inner Harbor near the National Aquarium on Pratt Street as well as the Power Plant Live at Market Place and Water Street, just two blocks north of the Inner Harbor. The artistic media represented include paintings, sculptures, photography, glass, wood, jewelry, collage, as well as ceramics with prices ranging from $25 hand-designed earrings to $20,000 metal sculptures.

“This is a fabulous opportunity for art festival goers to discover quality original works of art by top national and local artists as well as new and emerging talent in one location,” says art show promoter Howard Alan. “Art is a tangible investment that you can enjoy while it appreciates in value and at the same time take part in supporting the arts.”

The artists, juried by an independent panel of expert judges, are hand-selected from hundreds of applicants based on quality and diversity. All of their artwork is original and handmade in America. Howard Alan Events, the art fair’s promoter, stipulates that all artists are required to be on-site for the entire duration of the art fair.
