California Environmental Politics… Boon or Economic Disaster? Full Disclosure Network® Series

October 27, 2010

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Full Disclosure Network ® is releasing online an exclusive video series covering California Environmental Politics, the “Global Warming Solutions Act” (AB 32) and Proposition 23 that would suspend implementation of the Act. The series features in-depth interviews with two experts from dramatically contrasting viewpoints in six video segments (8 minutes each) available online here: http://fulldisclosure.net/SpecialSeries/EnvironmentPolitics.php

Featured in First Two-Parts are:

  • Alex Alexiev, a former Rand Corporation Senior Public Policy and National Security Analyst with 32 years experience, who is currently with the Hudson Institute. He describes “crony capitalists” who benefit from subsidized renewable energy schemes that drive up the cost of energy to consumers. He details how these programs have failed in European countries such as Germany and Spain and claims that tax credits to the rich do not benefit the common people and will make the United States less competitive with other countries who are not saddled with government mandated “renewable energy programs”.

To Be Released Soon: Part 3 and Part 4

Jesse Marquez, a UCLA trained community activist was appointed to the California Global Warming Solutions Act Environmental Justice Advisory Committee and is the founder and Executive Director of the Coalition for a Safe Environment. Marquez describes how jobs will be gained not lost by implementing the Global Solutions Act here in California and will save money in reduced health care costs by improving the environment. His organization has filed a lawsuit opposing the “Cap and Trade” element of AB 32.

The Full Disclosure Network ® is an independent cable TV and Internet public affairs program that is billed as “the news behind the news”. Produced by Emmy Award winning Host Leslie Dutton and Producer T. J. Johnston, the programs are featured on more than 60 public cable TV channels throughout California and major U.S.
