December 14, 2010

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 14, 2010 /PRNewswire/ — MC Hammer, the multi-platinum selling rapper and Twitter star, has been announced as the recipient of the first Gravity Summit Social Media Marketer of the Year Award. The award will be presented to MC Hammer in-person at the 3rd Annual Gravity Summit on February 22, 2011 at the UCLA Covel Commons. Gravity Summit, which has emerged as the premier social media marketing conference, is also pleased to announce that Jeremy Blacklow, Managing Editor of AccessHollywood.com, has been tapped to present the award to MC Hammer.

As a legendary icon in pop culture, MC Hammer was considered a forefather and innovator of pop rap and dance and has an impressive string of hits including, “Too Legit to Quit” and “U Can’t Touch This.” As a Twitter and social media ‘star’ with close to 2M followers, MC Hammer attributes his popularity resurgence to his savvy use of these new tools.
