Cleveland Central Catholic High School celebrates the achievement of three seniors who are continuing athletic careers at the University of Illinois, Cleveland State University, and West Virginia University of Technology

CLEVELAND, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The following is being released by Cleveland Central Catholic High School:

What: Signing reception for Class of 2011 athletes who will commit to the following universities and college:

  • Senior wide receiver Jeremey Whitlow signs with the University of Illinois;
  • Basketball star Anton Grady commits to Cleveland State University, and;
  • Senior wide receiver Jamel Townsend signs with West Virginia University of Technology.

Formed in 1969 from four neighborhood Catholic high schools, the coed, culturally diverse high school has 540 students, all of whom receive some form of financial assistance. 94% of the students come from the city of Cleveland. 97% of seniors graduate. 88% of the seniors go on to post-secondary education.
