Top Politicians on the Wikileaks Off-Shore List Named Through iPhone Cartoon Application

February 14, 2011

KYIV, Ukraine, February 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Today a US based
animation company Mupotoon LLC announced the release of the first ever
animated series for iPhone, which will bring the iPhone users a hilarious,
sidesplitting tongue-in-cheek look at the world’s biggest political news of
the day. It’s a short animated spoof on global leaders and events shown
through the mix of music, politics and cartoons.

The first episode of Mupotoon, now available to iPhone users through
iTunes Store, is dedicated to the controversy surrounding the list of
tax-evading celebrities, handed over recently to Wikileaks founder Julian
Assange by a former Swiss banker Rudolf Elmer. According to Mr. Elmer, whom
the British newspaper the Guardian called the “most important and boldest
whistle-blower in Swiss banking history, the list contains offshore account
details of 2000 prominent people.

In the released episode Julian Assange releases the names of the famous
tax-evading celebrities and dignitaries and puts Vladimir Putin, Silvio
and Nicola Sarcozy on the verge of a mental breakdown.

“Any political news, no matter how serious, can, and I believe should be
looked at from a humorous perspective”, said Mupotoon LLC’s Creative Director

Yuriy Sak. “Mupotoon is a combination of music, politics and cartoons”.

In 2009 Mupotoon LLC released its pilot animated film “ Barack Obama. The
Secret of Nobel Peace Prize” which premiered in Oslo, Norway, on the day when
the US President and the main character of the cartoon Barack Obama received
a much debated Nobel Prize for Peace. The cartoon, which humorously dispelled
the myths surrounding the unexpected decision of the Nobel Prize Committee,
was warmly received by the international press and European viewers.

“The main idea behind our latest brainchild – the animated political
comedy on iPhone platform – is to deliver to iPhone users the most important
news in the most entertaining format”, said the applications’ producer

Gennadiy Kurochka. “We hope that our animated satirical take on the events
that shape the world today will be popular due to Mupotoons’ subtle and at
the same time provocative sense of humour”.
