Platt Retail Institute at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology Releases Q1 2011 Journal of Retail Analytics
CHICAGO, Feb. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — The Platt Retail Institute at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (PRI) recently released the first issue of its 2011 Journal of Retail Analytics (Journal). A comprehensive resource on the current state of the economy as it impacts retailers and consumers, the quarterly publication also details developments in the digital signage industry. In addition to featuring industry-leading guest columnists, the Journal includes research and case studies conducted by doctoral student interns at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCSPP). The Chicago School master’s and doctoral student work in the current issue includes the following study and article:
Special Report: Digital Signage in Education Communication Effectiveness in Higher Education: Summary of a PRI Research Report Monica Dommer, a recent graduate of the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program at The Chicago School, conducted both primary and secondary research for this PRI Research Report. TCSPP Business Psychology doctoral student Kevin King oversaw the research project and wrote the report, while Business Psychology doctoral student and PRI research associate Justin Greenfield prepared the summary published in the Journal. In-Store Advertising Competes for Consumer Attention Maria Szczech, who recently graduated from TCSPP with a master's in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, conducted the secondary research on this project.
“The consumer-related research experience I got at PRI was invaluable and gave me a lot more confidence in my research skills as I got out into the job market,” said Szczech, who is now a project associate with consulting and recruitment firm I/O Solutions. “It’s a great benefit to have an industry-leading research and consulting firm directly associated with the school.”
