Summer Recipe Ideas From the South Beach Food & Wine Festival

  • Dress up your burgers: The Amstel Light Burger Bash hosted by Rachel Ray featured the Marc burger from Chef Marc Murphy of the Landmarc restaurant in NYC. His recipe took home the “Best Grill” award featuring a beef hamburger on a homemade black pepper and cheddar bun. The secret ingredient? Imported Seriously® Strong Cheddar was used to create the mouth-watering bun. And famed chef Bobby Flay used President® goat cheese to top his burger creation that included watercress, meyer lemon honey mustard and potato chips.

  • Surprise guests with a Fresh Mozzarella Bar: At an exclusive Italian in Paradise dinner hosted by Giada De Laurentiis and the Scotto family of Fresco restaurant fame, an artfully designed fresh mozzarella bar featuring Galbani® Fresh Mozzarella was the centerpiece for the cocktail hour. Guests paired fresh Mozzarella with a variety of tapenades, locally grown tomatoes and basil and freshly-baked ciabatta bread.
  • Easy and delicious dessert: Chef Xavier Thuret, a specialist in French cheese culture, created a decadent and delicious dessert recipe that was a festival favorite – chocolate and roquefort cheese bites. Simply pairing Societe ® Roquefort cheese with chocolate popping candy, Chef Thuret created a delicacy that is easy-to-make and guests will love!
