Porter Novelli Names Susan Hayes Global Director of Health
NEW YORK, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Global public relations leader Porter Novelli today announced that Susan Hayes has been named global director of health, effective immediately. Hayes replaces Barbara DeBuono, M.D., M.P.H. in this role, who recently left the agency to head a New York-based nonprofit group. In addition to her global role, Hayes will lead the health care practice of the agency’s New York office.

Hayes boasts more than 20 years of experience in public relations and public affairs in the health care industry. During that time she worked in the fields of HIV and infectious diseases, vaccines, kidney disease, organ transplant, women’s health, oncology and strategic corporate philanthropy at agencies including her eponymous firm, S. Hayes Consulting as well as Cooney Waters, Ogilvy & Mather and Porter Novelli. She is recognized in the industry for her global brand stewardship, most notably for her international work in HIV and vaccines. Hayes will report directly to Winskie.
