Eastern Mountain Sports Announces Final Outdoor Demo Tour Dates and New England Locations
PETERBOROUGH, N.H., June 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- After seven successful events in six states, Eastern Mountain Sports Inc., one of the nation's largest outdoor retailers, today announced the final dates and locations for its spring Outdoor Demo Tour.
Saturday, June 18 - Goddard Park, East Greenwich, RI 10AM - 4PM
Sunday, June 19 - Hingham Public Beach, Hingham, MA 10 AM - 4PM
Saturday, June 25 - Pawtuckaway State Park, Nottingham, NH 10AM - 4PM
Sunday, June 26 - Storrs Pond, Hanover, NH 10 AM - 4PM
All of the aforementioned events are free to the public and feature a fleet of kayaks and stand up paddleboards that attendees can try with the guidance and advice of trained experts. "The Outdoor Demo Tour is all about bringing the latest paddling and camping gear out of our stores and into local communities. We want our customers to know exactly how a product performs in the field, so they can buy with even more confidence," explained Ted Manning, Executive Vice President at Eastern Mountain Sports. "It's not only been a great experience for the people who come out to play, but for our staff as well."
Since May 7, over 700 people have participated in outdoor demo days in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and New York. "The stand up paddleboards have been the most popular demo products by far," said Tim Peck, demo driver and manager of the Eastern Mountain Sports in Marlborough, Massachusetts. "SUP combines the excitement of surfing with the power and efficiency of kayaking into one really unique, totally enjoyable sport. It's a fantastic workout, too."
