Local 4 and The Parade Company Present ‘The Target Fireworks’ in High-Definition Monday, June 27 at 8 P.M.
DETROIT, June 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — WDIV is proud to be the exclusive television home of The Target Fireworks, the highest-rated local television event of the summer.
Live coverage of the 53rd annual The Target Fireworks is presented by The Parade Company.
Local 4 News anchors Carmen Harlan, Devin Scillian and Chuck Gaidica host The Target Fireworks live from an exclusive rooftop venue overlooking the Detroit River, with Steve Garagiola live from Hart Plaza. Special “Raise the Roof” performances during The Target Fireworks broadcast on Local 4 include recording artist Jill Jack, winner of several 2011 Detroit Music Awards; Larry Callahan and Selected of God, the local choir made famous in the Chrysler Super Bowl commercial; and a grilling feature with Detroit’s soul food sensation Jamawn (Jay) Woods, winner of NBC’s America’s Next Great Restaurant.
Throughout Local 4′s broadcast, “Definitely Detroit” features will showcase what makes our region special, from local hot spots to the bright people who set our city apart and one-of-a-kind things found “Only In Detroit”. In addition, The Biggest Loser: Detroit Edition III presented by Blue Cross Blue Shield kicks off, and the Michigan Lottery will give away $250,000 live on Local 4.
The three-hour special will be jam-packed with amazing giveaways all night long.
