British Fashion Brand Jack Wills Teamed Up With The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry at Santa Barbara Polo Fundraiser
SANTA BARBARA, Calif., July 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Jack Wills, a clothing and lifestyle brand newly expanding in the US from the UK, brought its “Fabulously British” style to the West Coast with their sponsorship of the Foundation Polo Challenge to benefit The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry and the Polo Training Center of Santa Barbara on July 9th. As the official apparel sponsor, Jack Wills provided the custom-made polo uniforms for the players as well as custom shirts and hats for the umpires and grooms, and provided limited-edition commemorative t-shirts for sale at the event. Jack Wills was joined at the event by singer Joe Jonas, model Karlie Kloss and actor Alex Pettyfer who were their guests at the luncheon.
Royal Salute, the team on which Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, played, won today’s match, with the Prince himself scoring four goals in the final. The Prince’s team beat the Audi team 5 – 2.
“Jack Wills was thrilled to support The American Friends of the Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry and the Polo Training Center of Santa Barbara as it parallels not only our British heritage and polo ties, but also cements our commitment to bring our ‘Fabulously British’ style to the US,” says Peter Williams, Founder and CEO of Jack Wills.
Sales of the commemorative t-shirt that benefited The American Friends of the Foundation for Prince William and Prince Harry raised more than $25,000 on-site, while event ticket sales raised significant funds for the charity.
