GameFly, Inc. Partners With Six Flags Theme Parks for Summer-Long Promotion
LOS ANGELES, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- GameFly, Inc., the leading online video game rental subscription service, today announced a national summer-long promotion with Six Flags through September 5, 2011, offering guests extended free GameFly trials. The promotion includes 11 domestic Six Flags parks and will be communicated via online ticket receipts, banner ads on sixflags.com, an email blast to Six Flags Season Passholders and through in-park activation. GameFly will provide one million gift cards for giveaway at toll booth exits at each park. In addition, GameFly will run content on the Six Flags Television Network, as well as the in-park Jumbotron Network for the two-month partnership. Also, up to 35,000 extended trial memberships will be given away to Six Flags seasonal employees.
"Six Flags is thrilled to continue its run of successful video game partnerships, this time with GameFly," said David McKillips, Senior Vice President Corporate Alliances & Partnership Marketing. "This promotion provides great exposure for GameFly via the Six Flags online and in-park digital assets, exit sampling, and also expands their reach to a broader audience."
"Summer is a great time to sign up for GameFly since students are not in school and have more free time to enjoy video games," said Sean Spector, GameFly co-founder and SVP of Business Development and Content. "With so many families visiting Six Flags parks in the summertime, it's a great way to educate them about our service."
