July 19, 2011

NEW YORK, July 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ – Teen rock sensation Radio Silence NYC will join R & B superstar Usher Raymond IV, country star John Rich and up to 500 youth from around the world in Usher’s New Look Foundation’s Annual World Leadership Conference. The World Leadership Conference will be three-days and feature performances, workshops and an Awards ceremony from July 20 – July 22, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We are so honored to be a part of this year’s World Leadership Conference and are excited to share our music and message with Usher and the entire New Look team,” said Zach Allen, lead singer of Radio Silence NYC. “Usher’s New Look Foundation inspires teens to use their talents to create change within their communities; the same message we hope to be conveying through our music.”

To kick-off the Conference, Radio Silence NYC will participate in a program called “Usher And Friends Unplugged,” where the band will speak on behalf of their anti-bullying platform as well as perform their hit single “Renegade.” On Thursday, Radio Silence NYC will lead a workshop alongside standout New Look youth to discuss how music and technology can inspire change with social issues.

“Radio Silence NYC is a great addition to this year’s Conference,” said Shawn H. Wilson, president of Usher’s New Look Foundation. “As the New Look Foundation believes in peer to peer mentoring, and the band themselves are teenagers, we think their presence will resonate with the hundreds of youth in attendance.”
