Director Lambert ‘High’ on vampire Western
By Borys Kit
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mary Lambert, best known
for directing the "Pet Sematary" movies, has signed on to shoot
the indie vampire Western "High Midnight."
The story, by first-time scribe Denis Faye, centers on a
broken-down sheriff who is forced to team up with an obsessed
Victorian vampire hunter in order to stop an evil, undead force
from consuming a frontier town in 1892 New Mexico.
Independent distributor ThinkFilm will release the film in
North America. The budget will be about $5 million. Lambert
recently completed "Urban Legend: Bloody Mary" for Sony's
Screen Gems label.
