Art Gallery: From Dictatorship to Democracy

DALLAS, Sept. 2, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Coalition for Free Syria in Dallas, Texas is holding an Art Exhibition to highlight the struggle and achievements of the on-going Syrian revolution that started over 200 days ago. During this revolution many innocent lives have been lost in this historic fight for freedom.

The goal of this event is to utilize artistic expression to promote awareness of people, country and events. The Coalition for Free Syria has worked with accomplished and/or amateur international artists, whose work reflects the people engulfed in these events and their vision of freedom and democracy.

The international artists’ work will be judged by 4 renowned judges from local universities. The first prize winner will receive $1000 followed by 2nd prize $500 and 3rd prize $250.

This one of a kind event will be showcasing the artwork on September 3, 2011 (6 pm – 10pm) at the Arlington Museum of Art, 201 West Main Street, Arlington, Texas 76010.
