“Resident Evil 4″ video game of year: Spike TV Awards

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Capcom’s “Resident Evil 4,” “Peter
Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie” from
Ubisoft and Oscar-winning actor Charlize Theron were among the
winners at the 3rd Spike TV Video Game Awards held in Los
Angeles on Friday.

A partial list of winners from the awards follows:

Game of the Year: “Resident Evil 4″ (Capcom)

Best Game Based on a Movie: “Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The
Official Game of the Movie” (Ubisoft)

Best Action Game: “God of War” (Sony Computer Entertainment
America)

Best Individual Sports Game: “Tony Hawk’s American
Wasteland” (Activision Inc.)

Best Team Sports Game: “Madden NFL 06″ (Electronic Arts
Inc.)

Best Fighting Game: “EA Sports Fight Night Round 2″
