Goldblum set to ink for “Red”

By Nellie Andreeva

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jeff Goldblum will soon
be "Seeing Red." The actor is in final negotiations to star in
the crime-drama pilot for NBC.

"Red" centers on an eccentric, brilliant cop (Goldblum)
with the ability to talk to dead victims, who help him solve
his cases. It will be directed by Oscar-nominated Frank
Darabont ("The Green Mile," "The Shawshank Redemption") from a
script by Graham Yost, whose credits include "Band of Brothers"
and "Boomtown."

Goldblum, most recently seen in the feature "The Life
Aquatic With Steve Zissou" and in an Emmy-nominated recurring
role on NBC's "Will & Grace," last year won an Outer Critics
Circle Award and was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and Drama
League Award for his performance in Broadway's "The Pillowman."
