Pete Doherty admits drugs possession charges

LONDON (Reuters) - Rock singer Pete Doherty pleaded guilty
on Thursday to seven charges of possessing heroin, crack
cocaine and cannabis in a court appearance in east London.

Sentencing was delayed till April 20 for the 26-year-old
Babyshambles singer over the offences which took place in
December and January.

Only last month Doherty, who found fame as a sometime
boyfriend of supermodel Kate Moss, escaped a jail term for
separate drugs charges.

Doherty, who had arrived late for his appearance at Thames
Magistrates Court, caused chaos after the hearing as he made
his way through a 50-strong crowd of photographers, reporters
and fans.
