National Coal Corp. Moves From SmallCap Market to Nasdaq National Market

National Coal Corp. (Nasdaq: NCOC), a Central Appalachian coal producer, announces the Company's common stock will begin trading on the Nasdaq National Market on Friday, April 21, 2006, under its current ticker symbol "NCOC". National Coal has been trading on the Nasdaq SmallCap Market(SM) since April 22, 2005.
National Coal reports its annual meeting of shareholders will be held on June 20, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. CST, at the Wyndham New Orleans at Canal Place, 100 Rue Iberville in New Orleans, LA.
