Tiffany & Co. has opened a Diamonds Salon in its South Coast Plaza store. The 750-square-foot salon, a first for a Tiffany location, focuses on the renowned engagement ring and diamond jewelry collections of one of the world's premier jewelers.
Diamond collections include engagement jewelry from the classic Tiffany(R) setting to the patented Lucida(R) diamond cut and setting; and the lavish, diamond-encrusted rings from the Tiffany Legacy Collection.
"Tiffany diamonds are about more than absolute quality, cut and beauty - they are one of our great traditions," said Jeffrey Bennett, Tiffany & Co. vice president. "A salon dedicated to these timeless jewels serves our customers with an elegant environment designed for comfort and convenience, and with the latest innovations to experience these extraordinary stones in their truest light."
The salon is accessible either from the plaza or through the store. Every aspect of the interior, from polished Makore wood panels to stainless steel-framed showcases, is configured for customer convenience as well as to highlight the magnificent jewelry. In the private sales rooms, color-adjustable LED lighting recreates daylight for optimum viewing of the diamonds' color and clarity, and also simulates candlelight or room lighting.
"A salon dedicated to our diamonds underscores Tiffany's reputation as a world premier jeweler synonymous with diamonds of the finest quality," added Bennett. "The salon is primarily designed to better serve our customers and also convey the welcoming atmosphere that is a unique part of the shopping experience at Tiffany & Co."
Tiffany's South Coast Plaza location was the jeweler's highest volume branch store in the U.S. for fiscal year 2005. The Diamonds Salon, formerly the Tiffany & Co. Holiday Gift Boutique, opened on June 24, 2006.
