Hargitay Loves Week Leading Up to Emmys

LOS ANGELES – Actress Mariska Hargitay loves the week leading up to the Emmys. Hargitay, nominated in the best drama series actress category for her work on "Law & Order: SVU," was delighted with all of the trappings associated with the Emmys, which air Sunday night.

"Things are wheeled in. We get to choose. It’s been pretty amazing," she told Associated Press Television News at the Acting Nominees Reception on Friday.

Hargitay, 42, said her dress is being designed by Carolina Herrera. The designer also did Hargitay’s wedding gown and a dress for last year’s Emmys.

Hargitay said the whirlwind of parties, donated jewelry and detailed attention can make any woman feel special.

"It’s a week unlike any other week," she said. "It’s like a princess week."
