CBS documents the life and times of the veteran newscaster in “That’s The Way It Is: Walter Cronkite at 90,” airing at 7 p.m. Friday on channel 6.

Michelle Trachtenberg guest- stars as a teenage heart transplant recipient whose family dynamics drive Dr. House up the wall on “House,” airing at 7 p.m. Friday on Fox, channel 23 and cable channel 5.

Lindsay Lohan rules Maxim magazine’s newly released Hot 100. Now see her before she became the wild child of the Hollywood set in “The Parent Trap,” airing at 7 p.m. Friday on Encore, pay digital channel 200.

“Law & Order” loads up its season finale Friday with guest stars Jeremy Sisto, Harry Hamlin and Jeffrey Tabor. The show, airing at 9 p.m. Friday on NBC, channel 2 and cable channel 9, follows a politician who is the prime suspect in the murder of his ex-wife in a case being tried before a publicity-hungry judge.

Jane is suspicious when all the patients start having the same dream on “Painkiller Jane,” airing at 9 p.m. Friday on Sci Fi, cable digital channel 175.

Glenn Close narrates an up-close and stunning look at one of the last great places on Earth in “Gabon: The Last Eden” at 9 p.m. Friday on National Geographic, digital channel 163.

Sci Fi Channel recaps the entire season of “Heroes” (just to make sure you’re ready for Monday night’s season finale on sister network NBC) with a 21-episode marathon of the series from 8 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sunday on digital channel 175.

Tony is framed for murder on a repeat of “NCIS” airing at 7 p.m. Saturday on CBS, channel 6.

Animal Planet kicks off its newly announced movie night with “Stuart Little” at 7 p.m. Saturday on cable channel 57. In this combination live action-animated film, a human family adopts a mouse. The film will repeat the following Thursday at 7 p.m.

Julia Roberts earned an Oscar as a feisty single mother who talks her way into a legal aide job and then takes on California’s largest power company in the fact-based “Erin Brockovich,” airing at 7 p.m. Saturday on TBS, channel 47.

By Krakken, Capt. Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) once again needs the help of Elizabeth (Keira Knightley) and her beau Will Turner (Orlando Bloom). This time, Sparrow needs their help to save him from servitude to Davy Jones in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.” It airs at 8 p.m. Saturday on Starz, pay digital channel 390.

Marcia Gay Harden guest stars as an FBI agent and Det. Benson (Mariska Hargitay) goes undercover on a repeat of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” at 8 p.m. Saturday on NBC, channel 2 and cable channel 9.

An assassination game proves deadly on a repeat of “CSI: NY,” airing at 8 p.m. Saturday on CBS, channel 6.

Who killed a female rapper and why? Find out on a rebroadcast of “Law & Order,” at 9 p.m. Saturday on NBC, channel 2 and cable channel 9.

Zach Braff (“Scrubs”) will be your host with musical guest Maroon 5 on “Saturday Night Live,” at 10:30 p.m. Saturday on NBC.

“The Simpsons” wraps its season and celebrates 400 episodes from 7-8 p.m. Sunday on Fox, channel 23 and cable channel 5.

Other season finales airing Sunday include “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” from 6 to 8 p.m. on ABC, channel 8, and “Family Guy” at 8 p.m. on Fox, channel 23 and cable channel 5.

While NBC tries for ratings with a broadcast of the action- adventure film “National Treasure” at 7 p.m. Sunday on channel 2 and cable channel 9, CBS counters with the Oscar-winning boxing drama “Million Dollar Baby,” starring Clint Eastwood, Hilary Swank and Morgan Freeman, at the same time but on channel 6.

For those more addicted to soap operas, there’s a double wedding, the return of Bree and the appearance of Lynette’s estranged mother on “Desperate Housewives,” which airs its season finale at 8 p.m. Sunday on ABC, channel 8.

Also on the same channel, the Walker family copes with the death of a newborn, the departure of a son to Iraq, the engagement of a daughter, the fallout of a secret and the failure of a marriage on “Brothers & Sisters.” Its season finale airs at 9 p.m. Sunday.

PBS tells the story of Victorian England’s domestic diva in “Masterpiece Theatre: The Secret Life of Mrs. Beeton,” airing at 8 p.m. Sunday on channel 11. Anna Madeley stars as the woman who died at age 28 without ever learning to cook but produced the most famous cook book of her era, most commonly known as “Mrs. Beeton’s Book of Household Management.”
