LIN TV Names James Burnes As Regional Internet Director

LIN TV Corp. (NYSE: TVL), a television, digital media and online news company, announced today that James Burnes has joined the Company as Regional Internet Director for their Midwest region.
Burnes will work directly with General Sales Managers, Marketing Directors, News Directors and Internet teams in Indianapolis, Dayton, Lafayette, Terre Haute, Fort Wayne, Decatur, Toledo, Columbus, and Green Bay to identify and implement interactive campaigns for multiple web sites in these markets. He will also champion the delivery of new products, services and programs in order to build LIN TV's interactive brand. Burnes will report to LIN TV's Vice President, Internet Robb Richter.

Most recently, Burnes worked as Innovation and Development Project Manager for Gannett's The Indianapolis Star. His responsibilities included oversight of enterprise-level projects for The Indianapolis Star, leading the implementation of new technologies and products, print and digital, to reach revenue goals. He launched projects for IndyStar.com and related Internet ventures; managed the launch of IndyMoms.com, IndyPaws.com and numerous web applications that helped to make The Indianapolis Star a flagship in Interactive for Gannett.
Burnes will be based at the LIN TV's largest hub in Indianapolis.
