By Dean Goodman LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The new horror remake "When a Stranger Calls" connected with young thrill-seekers at the weekend box office in North America, but moviegoing generally took a back seat to Sunday's Super Bowl showdown.

Like nearly every house in New Orleans, Bethany Bultman's home has holes in its roof. Buckets to catch rainwater surround her desk, and she is hesitant to go out at night. Much of her neighborhood is still completely without power.
