By Jenny Stocks Film stars will descend on a Cornish fishing village this week to shoot the story of Charles Darwin's life. Charlestown, on the south coast of Cornwall near St Austell, will provide one of the locations for the film Creation, which follows the life of the English naturalist.

The Westcountry location for filming the Hollywood movie Alice in Wonderland will re-open to the public in October. Antony House and gardens in Torpoint, South East Cornwall, closed for six weeks to allow filming of the Tim Burton version of the children's classic.

A new theatre show from a Westcountry performance company is on its way to Dartington.
