Brazilian model Mariana Bridi da Costa, who lost her feet and hands in her fight against a deadly disease, died Saturday at the age of 20, a friend says. Renato Lindgren, who was a friend of da Costa's, said in an online blog that da Costa's family and friends appreciated the positive messages they had received since the model's death, CNN reported. Movie producer Charles Schneer, who counted Jason and the Argonauts among his works, has reportedly died in Boca Raton, Fla., at the age of 88. The Hollywood Reporter said Friday Schneer produced 25 movies, ranging from The 7th Voyage of Sinbad to It Came from Beneath the Sea. Schneer, who died Wednesday of unspecified causes, was a regular collaborator with special effects expert Ray Harryhausen.
