NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Titans coach Jeff Fisher agreed to a contract extension that will keep him with the team through 2011, according to a club official familiar with the negotiations.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because the announcement is planned for Monday, said the agreement will add four years to Fisher’s contract.

Titans owner Bud Adams picked up a one-year option after last season, when the Titans rallied from an 0-5 start to finish 8-8. The deal is thought to be worth $5.5 million to $6 million per year, the Tennessean reported Monday.

Fisher is in his 13th full season with the Titans, the longest any current NFL coach has been with his club. He coached his 200th regular-season game Sunday in a 22-20 loss to Indianapolis.
