Graduates of Agricultural University Zamorano Impress Academics in USA

Through a partnership with Ohio State University, US and Latin American scholars collaborate on agricultural research.

Graduates of leading agricultural university, Zamorano University, continue to impress academics at the prestigious Ohio State University. Since 2004, the Zamorano-Ohio State Internship Program has allowed US and Latin American scholars to partner and collaborate on projects. The program is a great success.

Speaking at a recent conference to celebrate the partnership, Professor of Entomology at Ohio State, Dan Herms, highlighted the importance of the partnership. âœZamorano visiting scholars have made tremendous contributions to research and outreach programs at Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC).â

ODARD researches safe, healthy and affordable food and agricultural products, sustainable food and agricultural systems keeping Ohio favorably positioned in the global economy.

âœWithout exception, Iâve found the graduates to be highly motivated, disciplined, and intellectually curious,â adds Herms. âœTheir independent research projects have advanced our research programs, and several have moved on to graduate programs at OARDC. They bring a great positive energy and enthusiasm to OARDC.â
