A Fair Way Mediation Center Expecting January to be a Busy Month for Divorce

January 2, 2012

When considering divorce, many couples hold off separating until January. Separating around the holidays can be financially debilitating but A Fair Way Mediation Center saves couples thousands of dollars and makes divorce less traumatic on both parties and children.

San Diego,CA (PRWEB) January 02, 2012

A Fair Way Mediation Center of San Diego, providing mediation services for more than 15 years is expecting an influx of calls once January rolls around. According to principal mediator Rich Gordon and various other resources across the country, January is considered “Divorce Month” because it´s the time when most divorces are filed.

Couples who have been thinking about separating tend to wait until January so as to not disrupt their families during the holidays, others seek a “fresh start” on the new year and others simply give up because their partner or the relationship reverts to pre-holiday status.

When one party is unhappy because circumstances have not improved, and the holidays have come and gone, irrational choices are made. Rich Gordon of A Fair Way Mediation Center has plenty of experience working with couples after the holidays: “Mediation can play an important role during this time because it minimizes animosity and provides more control over the divorce process and helps parties save money. There are so many things to consider, discuss, and reach agreement on during the process.”

Traditional divorce using attorneys and judges not only costs thousands more, it’s emotionally straining on the couple and the children, often requiring court appearances, especially when matters cannot be settled calmly. In order to help the many couples across the country who will look to file divorce this January, A Fair Way Mediation Center will be holding a free webinar called “A Fair Way Mediation, The Basics of Divorce, Part 1.”

During the webinar, A Fair Way Mediation Center´s will provide free divorce advice, allow for questions by attendees and all participants will receive a copy of the webinar by email, which will include Mr. Gordon’s email address where additional questions may be posed. The webinar is scheduled for January 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. This webinar is open to only 100 people so registration is encouraged as soon as possible.
