New Albany, Indiana Clinic Now Enrolling Patients in Diabetes Clinical Trials

The Floyd Memorial Hospital Joslin Diabetes Research Program, located in New Albany, Indiana, and affiliated with the world-renowned Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard Medical School in Boston, is currently enrolling patients in three new diabetes clinical trials.

The Floyd Memorial Hospital Joslin Diabetes Research Program, located in New Albany, Indiana, and affiliated with the world-renowned Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard Medical School in Boston, is currently enrolling patients in three new diabetes clinical trials. Eligible patients must be at least 18 years of age and will receive free follow-up care, lab work, medications and supplies, where applicable under the study guidelines.

Currently enrolling studies include:

  •     Patients with Hemoglobin A1c ranging from seven to nine percent, who have undergone a “cardiac event” in the previous two months, including heart catheterization and/or stinting, heart attack or Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG-also known as “open-heart surgery”).
  •     Patients with Hemoglobin A1c ranging from seven to ten percent, who have undergone a “cardiac event” as recently as two months ago to as long as 10 years ago, including heart catheterization and/or stinting, heart attack or Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG-also known as “open-heart surgery”).
  •     Patients with Hemoglobin A1c ranging from eight to ten percent, who are also taking Metformin and basal insulin (including Lantus, Levimir or Humulin N).
