Filtersfast.com and 3M Filtrete rewarded students from Indian Trail Elementary School in Indian Trail, North Carolina for their participation in the walking challenge for the W3 World Water Day Project. The W3 World Water Day Project gave students the opportunity to make a commitment to donate the miles they walked to help provide clean drinking water to people around the world who do not have access to clean water.

3M Filtrete was the corporate sponsor who generously matched each mile the students walked with $1. Their donation also included a contribution to the school´s campaign for the installation of a much needed track and other core essentials. Providing clean drinking water through products such as the 3M Filtrete 4-Bottle Water Filtration Station, Faucet Filtration Systems and Water Filtration Pitchers are easy-to-use, innovative filtration solutions that save thousands of bottles a year from polluting roadways and landfills.

The W3 Project is a philanthropic partnership between Filtersfast.com, Wine to Water and TrekDesk. This initiative is building a community of people who walk in the pursuit of health and wellness for everyone. To donate or sponsor miles, visit http://www.filtersfast.com/w3. The students who made a commitment to walk for the W3 World Water Day Project, demonstrated a deep satisfaction of knowing they did their part to bring greater awareness to the global water crisis through their educational channel. A tremendous amount of support and encouragement was given to these students by Indian Trail Principal, Candice Boatright and P.E. teacher, Allison Audet. Three energized teachers, Mrs. Feinstein, Mrs. Landers and Ms. Baker rallied their entire class to be a part of this groundbreaking walk for a cause initiative at the school. Several students from other classes at Indian Trail Elementary also participated in this monumental world water day challenge.
