Trajectory promises to provide relevant, actionable content for the intelligence, defense, and homeland security communities.

Herndon, Virginia (PRWEB) June 19, 2012

The United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), recently launched its official magazine, trajectory. The must-have geospatial intelligence publication is available in print, online and soon as a tablet app. Readers can subscribe at trajectorymagazine.com.

Trajectory made its debut at USGIF´s GEOINT Community Week. Over 2,000 copies were distributed to attendees during the weeklong event. Copies were also mailed to more than 6,000 USGIF members. The first issue features articles such as “Proposed Cuts to NGA´s EnhancedView Program Revive the Commercial Imagery Debate,” and “Privacy Policies Threaten Advances in Technology.” There are also special industry articles in various sections of the website as well as web exclusives found only online.

“Managing the launch of trajectory was an incredible experience. It’s been fascinating to become immersed in the GEOINT Community and meet so many enthusiastic and passionate professionals who have an abundance of research, innovation, and thought leadership to share with the magazine,” shared Kristin Quinn, managing editor. “There is something for everyone in the inaugural issue, and I look forward to discovering how trajectory will develop over time to best serve the ever-changing needs and interests of the Community.”

Articles within trajectory will focus on current issues facing the defense, intelligence, and homeland security communities, such as collaboration and integration, as well as thoughtful coverage of major programs, emerging technologies and trends, related policy, foundation initiatives, and the individuals who are driving the community forward. Each issue is an ideal blend of hard-hitting information, coupled with lighter lifestyle pieces, and is designed to inform, communicate and entertain.

“This magazine faithfully represents the Foundation, and clearly reflects the leadership role we play in the community,” stated Keith Masback, USGIF president. “We´ve worked diligently to differentiate it from other publications in this arena, because we have a reputation for an unparalleled level of quality in everything we do, and trajectory will be no exception.”

Trajectory strives to provide high-level thought leadership for members of the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation, as well as for the overall intelligence, defense, aerospace, and homeland security communities. At its core, trajectory focuses on the future of geospatial intelligence, but its broader goal is to be the pre-eminent resource on issues of significance to the greater Intelligence Community.

USGIF is a non-profit educational foundation dedicated to promoting the geospatial intelligence tradecraft and developing a stronger GEOINT Community with government, industry, academia, professional organizations and individuals whose mission is the development and application of geospatial intelligence to address national security challenges.
