The work includes the life story of two people in love who faced insurmountable obstacles to that love. Wrestling with the realities of bipolar disorder, Buckler and his wife tackle major obstacles and, in the end, find that their love has been strengthen.

“The book contains our life story so the reader can evaluate their own life choices,” says Buckler. “Perhaps the reader may even avoid counterproductive choices and avoid a huge amount of heartache thereby.”

An excerpt from Autobiography of an Ordinary Couple Facing Extraordinary Circumstances:

“It was on June 21st 2003, only one day after my 76th birthday and nine days before my 56th wedding anniversary that I died.

You may be wondering how I can tell this story if I am already dead. I will explain later, but let me tell my story as best I can.

It began 76 years ago when I was born at home in Grandma Berry´s house on the farm. My mother was only 16 years old when I came into the world weighing in at only 2 pounds and some odd ounces.”

Buckler, who calls his book a “moving story,” hopes it will serve as a testament to the power of love and inspire generations to come.
